One of these days I will have the time to update the blog more than just once a week. I promise :)
anyhoo, here's friday's layout:
supplies used: American Crafts letter stickers, American Crafts pattern papers and felt flower.
here's the journaling if you can't read it:
katie, can i cut your bangs? No.
Why not? I'm growing it out.
But it's in your eyes. doesn't respond
Can I at least put a barrette in it? No.
Pretty please? doesn't respond.
Two minutes pass...humming to self...
Hey, I have a good idea. What?
Why don't you let me cut your bangs? No mommy!...and walks away
Well. There you have it, folks.
eta: just realized that this layout is featured on 2peas today so go check it out here! my very first feature...ahhhhh :)
in other news, i've signed up for cathy z's design your life scrapbooking course because it's going to be fun. and i love cz. and there's always room for improvement. and why the heck not? Gosh! lol...I already talked my friend Merideth into signing up so let me know if anyone else decides to join us.
Wow. I can't believe it's already Frriday. This week has really been a blur of activities for us, here in KY. We had the girls' open house at school on Tuesday. Then on Wednesday, I had to photograph a couple doctors at their respective hospitals. It's my new gig, ya know. :) That's right, you're looking at the new photographer for the Kentucky Blood Center. Very excited about the opportunity and I've met some really interesting and inspiring people so far. I look forward to the next twelve months with them.
Yesterday was my birthday AND the first day of school for the girls (pictures to come later and maybe even a layout). I usually hate my birthday but it was tolerable this year. My sister took me out to lunch. And then my 'friends' had put in a birthday announcement in the paper. And because another friend saw the announcement in the paper, she came over with an ice cream cake. yum. I also got a few canned goods and a gift certificate for Target (my favorite place to shop). And from Richard? Well, he's getting me a computer with 2 gigs of RAM. He knows how to make a girl's toes tingle.
That brings us to Friday. Layout day...
Supplies used: you guess it...american crafts :)
As you can see by the date, I'm only 2 months behind. Charlie got his first ear infection at 7 months and was on antibiotics and had several explosive diapers because of it. Speaking of Charlie, he's being a pill today. Any takers out there to help a sista out?
Oh dear. Oh my. I got some news over the weekend. At first i thought i was being punked. but as it turned out, it was true. I've never been on a design team. I wasn't going to apply until i got an email from my friend, Mel, who told me she was going to kick my butt if I didn't at least try. So thank you Melanie, for convincing me to try out and for not kicking my butt :)
I am really looking forward to working with some amazingly talented women. And my husband is looking forward to me not having to buy anymore scrapping supplies. At least for a little while anyway :)
