decided to pull out the white seamless paper yesterday and get some shots of the kids. i don't use the white backdrop as much in the cooler weather because the lighting is bad in my house and makes my pictures come out on the blue-ish side...but then i remembered that i usually convert to black and white and wouldn't make a bit of difference anyway :P
one of the boy...
wearing his nudie-pants :)
he's wearing one of maddie's hats. I love this hat. it has ears and braids. :)
I also took Katie to get her hair cut yesterday. 5 inches cut. <sigh>
she looks like such a big girl now. she also looks a lot like...
her older sister, maddie. :)
notice something new about maddie's smile? that's right. she lost her top tooth the other day. <sigh>
today's maddie's last day of school and she had an award ceremony this morning. her teacher emailed letting us know but that she was keeping it a secret from maddie because she didn't want her to stress about getting in front of the school to accept her award. she knows her so well...we really lucked out this year with her teacher. she is so awesome and maddie loves her. we didn't know exactly what the award was for beforehand. i like surprises. richard and i had a running bet on what we thought it was giong to be. he thought it was math related and i thought it was reading related.
she was the top reader for the entire first grade.
i actually got some time yesterday to scrap...yessss!
one of miss k:
just a page about everything she does right now. seems like i always do more pages of her than the other two but i always have good pictures of her to choose from, ya know? i don't have any recent ones of maddie at all. i'm looking forward to a time when she'll want me to take pictures of her again :)
been busy. real busy. seems like everything gets really hectic a few weeks before school lets out for the summer. katie's graduation from preschool. birthdays. lots of birthdays. photo shoots due to the emergence of warmer weather. charlie's toofers. that's right. he's finally sprouted some teeth (as I suspected the from my last post).
can you see it? i don't think he's crying because of his teeth here. i think he's crying because maddie is right next to him, disregarding his personal space. the little dude likes his space.
my niece, olivia had her birthday party this past sunday so my parents made their way down to KY for it. i don't think my dad's seen charlie since christmas...
see? here they are sharing a moment. charlie's happy here because my dad's giving him his space.
my mother on the other hand...
...not so much. i took this seconds before he started screaming. i can't really blame the woman. i like to squeeze him like that too. :)
i've got a few other things to share with you, but i think it'll wait until a later time (and no, i'm not pregnant).
charlie went in for his 6 month check up today. he's in the 97th percentile in length and 50th in weight. he's just like Maddie was at that age...long and lean. then he had to get some shots. he wasn't happy about getting those. and then he had to drink the rotavirus vaccine which causes "mild, temporary diarrhea".
this is what charlie was like after his tylenol had worn off and right before he his diaper blew out...
