when we brought charlie home from the hospital i noticed that he crossed his eyes a lot. as the weeks passed, he was still having a hard time uncrossing them. concerned, I called my sister (the optometrist) and asked her if he had an eye condition and she assured me that it's pretty common in newborns so i stopped obsessing about it. when he tuned 6 weeks, his eyes got a lot better and he could focus on objects and track objects quite easily. at 2 months his eyes rarely crossed, only when he was tired so I asked the pediatrician about it and she told me that there wasn't anything to do until he turned 3 months. if he was still crossing them at all, we would have to see a specialist.
so...being the type of person that I am, I had to try to find something humorous about the situation.
here he is with Katie...three out of the four eyes are pointed in the right direction...heehee :)
He was 5 weeks old here.
and here he is now...
what a flirt he is.
he'll be turning 3 months at the beginning of february. hopefully he won't be crossing them at all by that time.
