just one i whipped up today about my katie-bug. Even when she's all scraped up, she's still pretty dang cute :)
I dont think you can read the journaling so here is it...
You are a graceful child. You are. Really. But there's something about the beginning of summer...whether it be the new found freedom your feet feel in sandals or your newly exposed knees...whatever the case, you turn into a klutz. I can't seem to keep you from falling and scraping yourself up. And it's not just your knees, it's your elbow, hands and even your nose. I was watching you run down the driveway at a pretty good click when all of a sudden, you bite it. Hard. You stayed, spread-eagle on the ground screaming until I ran out to get you. Luckily, your face wasn't broken and on the bright side it did save your knees. Thank goodness for Band-Aids and their super-mega-jumbo-variety pack.
I decided to change the look of the old blog and update my profile picture. I kinda look like that, just with shorter hair and an additional 25 pounds :) It's all baby. At least that's what I keep telling myself. And more importantly, that what Richard keeps telling me. Have I told you that I think I married the smartest man alive? lol! He knows the drill by now, this being our third pregnancy. Sigh. Only 12 more weeks to go. 84 more days. Two and a half more months. I'm so ready for fall.
yup. It was my birthday yesterday. The family and I went out to dinner and the girls gave me their cards. Richard didn't get me anything because after 14 years of being my husband, he's finally learned that I am picky and hard to buy for so he just lets me get what I want when the mood strikes me.
So this is what struck my fancy this year...
Actually, we've been meaning to get new furniture for a while and have been saving and budgeting for it...it just so happened that I purchased it near my birthday. Last year, I got a dishwasher for my birthday. Are you seeing a pattern here? Ever since Katie spilled her entire milkshake on our old sofa a few months ago, I can't seem to get used to the crunchiness of the cushion, no matter how hard I tried. So when the new stuff arrives, there will be a new rule...no eating or drinking in the living room.
I don't know what type of weather you all are having in your neck of the woods but here in KY, it's been hot, hot, HOT! It's so hot that it takes your breath away the minute you step outside. But a little heat doesn't bother me as much as being cold :)
I gotta hand it to these little troopers for hanging in there, even in the heat...
